The Hair from Ipanema

If you've been following this blog, you are aware of my daily challenge combating frizzy hair.  Recently, I was excited to add Rene Furterer's new Acanthe curl-definition line to my arsenal.  Each morning, I grabbed my Acanthe leave-in fluid and announced, "okay, frizz, let's do this," as I worked it into my hair.  But, now, my friends, the battle is over, thanks to the Brazilian Blowout.

So, what is the Brazilian Blowout?  While not technically a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu technique, it does knock out frizz through a Brazilian Super Nutrient Complex that creates a protective protein layer around the hair shaft, smoothing the cuticle.  And by knock out, I mean it eliminates frizz for up to 12 weeks.  Even better, the treatment contains no harsh chemicals or formaldehyde, and actually improves the condition of the hair.

The best thing about the Brazilian Blowout is that it is a hair smoothing treatment rather than a straightening treatment.  Making it perfect for those of you who, like me, enjoy your waves but hate the frizz.  Since getting the treatment, I have been able to wash my hair and run out the door, allowing it to air-dry to a pretty beach wave.  And when I do blow-dry my hair, it is quick and effortless because my hair is so healthy.  I'm no longer tugging the brush against my coarse, dry, frizzy strands.

Actually, the best thing about the Brazilian Blowout is that it's allowed me to enjoy my mornings.  Instead of preparing for battle, I now just prepare breakfast.
